There are so many thread here, some of them many pages long, that there is no way you can read everything, so just to speed things up a little I typed in two random words âEricâ and âVickâ two hours later and way past my bedtime Iâm still ploughing through tons of stuff.
I got side tracked into Ferrymasters. Middle East, not to mention all the ERF threads but didnât find much from the TSAS (Twin Splitter Appreciation Society) no doubt itâs there somewhere.
This whole forum should be set up as a DCPC course in itâs own right, youâd learn a whole lot more if you spent 7 hours researching this forum than being bored sat in the back of a classroom.

Thereâs no need for a thread on this subject- those who have used them know their merits full well. And sadly there will be no more for the newbies to experience the wonders of the âbest gearbox in the worldâ.
Stand by for flack from users of 13 & 15-speed Fullers !
To be serious for a moment (doesnât happen often), there IS a thread somewhere on here dedicated to the Twin Splitter or âTwin Countershaftâ as Eaton Fuller like to call it.
Didnât take me long to acquire it, matey! Especially after a couple of weeks on a Renault with that bl**dy awfull 16-speed synchro thingy of theirs.
But after two-and-a-half years of glorious retirement, Iâve still got the dent on the thumb!
In the E16 it was matched to about 320 horses but about 40 of those were dead so the thumb got a fair bit of work. It was one of the fastest trucks in German as I was always first in the lead going up hills, even Romanians were behind me. Then I got the EC with a 405 â â â â â â â â what a difference! Once up to speed I rarely had to move the stick as three clicks on the button would cope with most terrain. Dream trucking.
