Do I need to provide work with

Proof that I need to wear glasses? After having my medical done it turns out I need to wear glasses for driving, my manager says I need to provide him with a letter from the optician, I don’t understand why, surely if I’ve been given glasses for driving I don’t need to prove it.

Plus I’ve noticed on the gov.uk website you can create a code so that employers can check your licence. I may sound like I’m being arsey but I don’t see why my manager needs to see my prescription (even though its very small)

Your license should say whether or not you need to wear glasses if the DVLA has been kept up to date, under section 12 it has 01 on my license

It doesn’t have anything listed under section 12 and I’ve just got it back last week after the truck provisional entitlement was put on, but if I look online it does say 01 Eyesight correction.
