I think I am right in saying that you should be OK if you have had a medical within 12 months of your D4 going in but i’m sure someone else will be along shortly!

It certainly used to be although they may have altered the rules like they do.

I thought it was 3 or 6 months within the last medical but to be certain I would call DVLA medical on 0300 790 6807
Pity you did not put in the D2 form for D provisional when you took the last D4 medical - costs nothing to do that
Do you have a pre 1997 car licence?

My advice is always to try without the medical. If they want it, they’ll ask for it.
