Thought I would share this picture with you all. It’s my dad’s (Malky McMillan) M A N parked outside his house in Pather Wishaw.
Cheers Rab.
Look at that sheeting!—its that tight it’ll make your eyes watter!!! Pity we can’t see the rest of the trailer!!! A skill that is just about dead now unfortunately.Bewick.
am sure there must be a lot mare dm smith fotos oot there for a company as auld as they were
.
Hi Jim,I notice the Smith Scania has Truswells,Sheffield name on it as well as their own.How long have they been involved with DMS?
stravaiger:
Yeah! Almost 2 years to the day mil996 since you came on asking for pics and stories and sherby gets it going again, thanks sherby. How many other pics can we pull with a little effort? Think we’ll have to knock on doors
I’ve just noticed some of my pics from page 1 are deletednever understood why that happens, why some folks posts are the same; some showing, some missing. I’ll stick mine back on shortly, but before I do let me just mention that the sheeted trailer looks a bit raggedy at the front owing to the fact that on the way home from Immingham I called by Strathaven to hand in one of those rigid tow bars. That’s my only excuse dennis
Anyone else with pics or stories?..jim
No probs Jim,it was tight and it sure as hell wouldn’t start flapping by the looks of it!!! Dennis.
I met Dougie Smith a couple of times at the Kelvin Hall motor shows while visiting various stands(watering holes hic! hic!)in the lats 70s Bewick.
