I am sure that most of you are too canny for this, but I have seen where people get scammed when the google DVLA to pay for their licences, tax, etc.
If you google “DVLA” the top site that comes up is dvla-driving-licence.co…FSvHtAodrxQAvg. This is because they pay Google for it. If you use that site they will charge you a fee of £60 or so over and above the DVLA’s own charges. There is no benefit at all from using them.
There was a programme on Watchdog recently about these document checking websites, seems they are legal and it’s a case of buyer beware. One site on Watchdog looked identical to to the real DVLA site but was purely a mirror that actually checked nothing and charged £40 for the privilege!
