joining union??
ok worked for you this time but as you have said you took it upon yourself to gather evidence, and follow up with investigation also it seems you have being covering your backside so that the company could not pin anything on you, ectect, don,t blame you i do the same and advise anyone else to do the same…
however as for the unions I would,nt trust them as far as could throw a loaded trailer,
I,ve been in Unions for quite a time even became a rep ect, I saw how they took members money had did absolutly F all for the members, (unison) they are only interested in teachers and council hospital staff, anything else and its ■■■■■■■■,
I saw one guy who had a fall ending his career, the company even admitted blame and Unison took the case and totally ballsed it up leaving the guy with no compensation, all cos of unison,
A compulsory change of contract was also forced on folk most signed, the ones that did,nt ended up going alone took us 6 months to even get a meeting with unison and within 5 minutes guy had his coat on and was prepared to leave, cos he was late for the pub, we went alone and came out with compensation, pay in lieu ect, then they had the cheek to put in their member pack thet they did the work and won ud the money…
so Unions blah, just run clean don,t give the employer a reason to get at you,
