I used to play games when I was out with my dad, one was âhow long can I sleepâ record was SE London to Glasgow in a Mandator, another was âhow quick in the week can I spend the old mans ÂŁâ & my fave was âhow dirty can I get while me dad did all the workâ much more fun than your games RogSpot the Stobart got rid of a fair few hours when I was little!
And seeing how many different types of drinks I could wangle at the service station! (fizzy, still, milky, juice, hot chocolate, tea, energy etcâŚ)
Funny you should say that, my dad & I used to play a game called âshoot the 2cvâ youâd get extra points for striped roofs, CND stickers & drivers with a beard (male or female) but the winner was a 2 tone one with Miss Piggy stickers
Prefer Flakes myself.
Iâm a stereotypical Yorkie eating truck driver and I donât mind admitting it.
Yep Iâm incredibly good looking, with a perfectly toned body and women in open topped sports cars are forever following me into the services. Itâs a curse I tell you.
Hey but as truck drivers I suppose we all have to live with that problem, Except for Lucy and her flake. I bet that make a hell of a mess of the seat when you try and take a seductive bite whilst changing gear and swearing at the pillock whoâs just cut you up.
i eat yorkies i love em i even drive a metallic blue scania with loadsa bling on it and ive got the yorkie bar song on a record shaped like a yorkie bar AND ITS NOT FOR GIRLS
ok its not all true i dont drive a metallic blue scania with loadsa bling on
I am blonde, female and a fashion junkie - and a trucker.
My kids used to love telling people their mum was a trucker as I certainly did not fit any stereotype. They thought it was normal to see me in full make up with nails manicured and painted driving the truck.
Of course I love Yorkie bars - they are chocolate arent they
And chocolate is chocolate and we LOVE it!!
I used to build and fix Computers and sell other bits for a living, i sold up and i now drive for my ÂŁÂŁÂŁ, and i am a happy bunny doing it , but i dont have a lumberjack shirt or eat Yorkieâs, but i am tempted
I ate a Yorkie the other dayâŚthe first one Iâve eaten for years!
Right after that, I â â â â â â (audibly) in public, shouted a load of swear words at a car driver and then wolf whistled and blew the air horn at a load of fit birds in a tartâs car! I then drove off in my big truck in a white but very dirty sleeveless t-shirt (which nicely shows off the tatts on my huge guns), tailgated a load of cars whilst shouting angrily at the drivers (again), after that I pulled into the truckstop, had a big wee wee on the driverâs wheel of my truck in full public view and nipped into the canteen for a deep fried lard sarnie (without even washing my hands before!!!).
âŚactually, I just got in the truck (as usual), wearing my nice clean company uniform (as usual), drove the truck as professionally as 20 years experience allows (as usual), and tried to be an ambassador for the industry (as usual).
I think youâll find the stereotypical âtruckerâ is a very very rare animal ,but be carefulâŚtheyâre NOT for birds!
Welcome to the site young 'unâŚhope you have a sense of humour!
I,m not a sexist ignorant trucker.
I THINK WOMEN ARE GREAT
(at cleaning,cooking,washing up etcâŚ)
To be a stereotypical trucker donât you need to speak Polish
Have been known to eat a odd one ,
but only after my salad , my evian and stick of celery
I eat them from time to time. The day i passed my HGV my parents bought me a Yorkie Bar lol. Dnt understand why you was ashamed of your dad though?
My dad as always been in haulage and I am proud of him, im proud of being a driver, and following in my fathers footsteps.
I honestly couldnt think of anything else id rather be doing,
like someone else said, its not for everyone though!

Great post shrek, made me laugh out loud
I went off chocolate at 21 and dont miss it. Thats 10 years ago. I will admit to being a bit of a devil for shortbread and a coffee after spendin some time up top in a wood.PS. thats not gay lingo
Guess iâm another one who says a big no to the stereotpical truck driver. Iâm female, Blonde, obsessed with shoes and have my in-fills done every three weeeks religously, however i have been known to eat the occasional yorkie. Donât be nervous of it, just go out, enjoy and learn. Better to try than regret not having a go.
So thatâs you lot toldâŚ
I think someone got me a yorkie easter egg complete with a Yorkie Mug
Itâll take pride of place on the dash

People donât get it and they should, thats what Iâm trying to do, get something going!
Sure some people do get it. I hope you do get something going. Iâm looking forward to âhag a trucker weekâ or summat like that. Its gonna be good. Good Luck with it !!!
âEreâ were do us âGolden Oldiesâ fit in with this âYorkie Barâ eating group as we never had the choice of eating âYorkie Barsâ as our treats were âBacon Buttiesâ (not very nice with chocolate)
prefer a nice thorntons selection myself
always been a bit above your average trucker
Must say I prefer the biscuit and raisin ones, but Iâm more partial to a double decker or a crunchie to be honest.
