I wish i could help but i cant the oln ything i can tell you is that you CANT change the time and have to drive half the year at an hour wrong.
Yea as far as i know with the time its the industry standard for the shipping, air freight, and now trucking industry i think its called (GMT) BUT NOT 100%.
You will always be an hour behind your wrist watch.
The very few times i used it i just pressed what i thought was right nobody gave me any training either.
Put your card in to slot one, after briefly displaying the UTC and local time it will read your card and display your name after that it displays when you last withdrew your card. Next you will be asked to provide data manually, if non just change yes to no using the arrow buttons and press OK, if yes then choose entry addition, go to the menu ‘begin country’ and select UK from the code list, then input the time, select time zone ‘O’ this is UTC or GMT (Same thing), choose the activity you want to input then press Ok to end the process. Using the mode switch turn it to crossed hammers which is other work and off you go, the unit will automatically change to driving time same as any auto tacho with a card in it, mode switch operates in exactly the same manner as any other tacho.
have a look here at this site
http://www.tachograph.digital-spirit.de/en/home.htm
it has a training vidieo onthe post as well
You can’t change the set time in the unit but you can change the displayed time to match your watch if you find it confusing.
There is no need to switch to Other Work, (except for as you do your Daily Checks). The automatic default mode on Digi-Tacho’s is Other Work.
This means that whatever mode you left your tacho at, it automatically goes to Other Work as soon as you start driving and then stop, even if you only drive or roll a foot (obviously it records any time spent driving as Driving).
You therefore have to get into the habit of checking and switching your mode to the appropriate mode. This is especially important if you are one of those who normally leave your mode switch on break.
here another site to help just have a look and read and digest
the information given.
You might have done a decent job of posting that link Pete.
It would have saved me a job.
