These digitalis are doing my nut in,last night withdrew my card,put it on rest,this morning after manual entry it’s stating I have already done nearly two hours driving,am now sitting in services having to take my 45 when I should still have 2 hrs odd driving time,any help as to what I am doing wrong would be appreciated,not the first time it’s happened either
Why manual entry. If you have done no other work put it in scratch your arse for a few mins and good to go.
Sounds like you probably recorded the daily rest period as other work instead of rest.
What make of tachograph is it, Siemens or Stoneridge ?
So what exactly did you do from taking card out and exactly when you put it back in .
Did you do your man enteries and wait for the pictogram change from a half card to a full card ?
More than likely an error on manual input - or not long enough had passed from card ejection to logging back in making the digital tach believe no daily rest took place.
It’s to late now but you didn’t have to stop to take a break if it wasn’t actually needed. No matter what the digital says - all that matters is how much driving has taken place since the last actual daily rest.
As has been asked - what type of Tacho, what age is the vehicle (gives a clue as to version of Tacho) and what did you try to input?

put in what was shown to me by an assessor,card in change to cross hammer press ok, change to previous days date and time of finish press ok,bed flashes press ok,todays date press ok then change to x hammers press ok,most times I don’t have a problem but sometimes like today it shows I have driven when I have just started work
