Do digital Tachographs round up duty as well as driving?
EG. I worked in the yard from 8am to 11am (logged this into Digital Tacho as work) and then drove from 11am to 13.55pm. I then had a 45 minute break to avoid going over the 6 hour working time limit.
That is a total of 5 hours 55 minutes work including driving. However the digital Tachogrpah has recorded the driving time from 11am to 13.55 as 3 Hours and 5 Minutes driving. This is because I was stuck for most of that time in traffic and it has rounded the driving time up. As a result of this if I add up the driving and duty it shows 6 hours and 5 minutes. Could I be done for this?
I don’t think so because you have taken a break after 6 hrs 5 min .
You will maybe get a warning for it make a note of why you where delayed so if you are asked you can look the reason up.
To be honest I’m a bit puzzled by this, when you look at the printout it should show the start and finish times for each activity, to do what you say surely it would have to have more than one activity showing for a particular time
When a digital tachograph rounds time up it deducts that time from the next activity, it doesn’t simply add more minutes to the day.
Do the start and finish times correspond to the times you say you were working and driving ?
Sorry If I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying in your post

What he said. Something is wrong with your timings, I do mean yours and not the digi tacho’s.
