We have hired a lorry that has a digital tacho, this is new to us. It gets moved around the yard by other people for loading. They don’t put a card in, so it sayes driving without card. Is there anything I need to when I get in to start the day.

Just clear all the faults/warning messages by clicking OK, then insert your card as normal.

He can’t as it gets moved around the yard by other people. As mentioned previously press OK which clears the message then stick your card in when its only you who’s going to drive it.

is it new to you, or the company because if the company, did there look it out to them, do there have company cards and software to do downloading, when it go’s of hire there will have to take a download from the head unit

whats that got too do with driving it around the yard with no card in, as others said push ok stick your own card in and jobs a good un + it aint his problem if the company dont have downloading software for it as he only needs a digi card and make it available to be downloaded

i was inquiring to is post in red that all, no point in telling him what to do as others have said
i used to work for a hire company, and we would not hire then to companies that did not have the required equipment for there records, we kept getting phone calls to ask us if we could download it for them. we had lots in the yards across the country when there first came out cos no one either had the software or cards for them
get a workshop card and use that in the yard. there is something else you can use, but they won’t let me post it.
