digital tacho card

Coffeeholic:
Note that it is the member state who issues your driving licence that will also issue your Driver’s Card, not necessarily the member state in which you live. So if you live in France, but you still have a UK licence it will be the DVLA who issues it.

You do stand corrected Neil.
I still have a UK driving licence, but was issued a digi-card by Brussels.
And the company paid for it!

Mind you, when my licence comes up for renewal next Janurary I’ll have to apply for a Belgian one.

The Euro driver cards are identical except for the word Driver, Fahrer or Chauffer on the top. We were comparing them last week in France, then the bar opened so we had something worthwhile to do :stuck_out_tongue:

nor can you use your drivers card to pay for the weekly shop at Tescos

crap looks like the family wil have to starve this week :stuck_out_tongue:

This is absolutely true…we had a driver start on with us a while ago,and one of our other driver’s told him he could use his Willi-Betz card to pay for foodstuffs from the Aldi and then they’d deduct it out of the following month’s salary.

Oh how we laughed when the following week he told us he’d got a trolley load of shopping in the Aldi, but they refused to accept his Willi-Betz card
