Hi all

Strange question this might seem but can a digital tacho card be applied for when the driver only holds a B licence ( car ) ?

I believe you can. You may need a provisional C1 on your license though.

Currently no provisionals are held on the licence for any heavy goods

B + E is held though

If you drove a 3500 transit van and towed a 750 kg MAM trailer on a B licence commercially it would come under tacho rules unless and exemption applied so a digicard would be needed if fitted with a digi and not an analogue tacho

I believe this would be possible. My mate has digital tacho and holds b+e
