I have not used the card yet, just had one, even though use anlogue, just a few questions.
- Do you have to enter each country you start the shift in,or leave the yard, and cross countries without entering the area you are in,as in the county, and its abbreviations.
2.Can you leave the card in for weeks on end.
3.If you dont return to your O licence base within 28 days, what happens then.
Different topic,if you have not seen Big Country on tour yet, dont moan to me that that you have missed Mike Peters from The Alarm, doing a grand job on vocals,Tony Butler, the bassist has put on weight, and is now bald,Bruce Watson, lead guitar, looked a bit skinny, and Mark Brezici, has not changed a bit, doing his drums very well,a zed beeing great night out.Selling out fast, due to extra demand, playing London tonight.
put the card in toby and it asks you start country, when you stop for the night go into menu enter end country and thats it, so easy, no need to put where you change over at the border just start and finish. there is a setting for showing ferry crossings though so you can have a ferry break.
if you don’t change trucks and nobody else is going to move it then leave the card in and you don’t need to do a printout everyday either, i’ve had my card in since starting back after xmas and new yaers hols.
no idea what you mean about the 28 day thing sorry
Thought the boss had to download the last 28 days driving activity from the card, thanks for that info,i dont want those fines in Euskadi,or the Mosses have their senior moments if a previous driver has peed them off.

ahh you mean for the downloading
if you’re out that long there are plenty of places you can download your card, most AS24’s in france and a lot of the decent size truckstops in spain have machines for such activity

Where are the records stored?
It is OK. I have answered my own question
as24.com/as24/as24-website.n … enDocument
Last question, does the card add on extra time,ie,you have driven exactly 9 or 10 hours, but the machine will add on more time, making you illegal,as each time you stopped in a traffic jam,it records the movement, and adds it on un-noticed by the driver.
Will i still need to record driving time with the old fashioned kitchen timer,(Salter brand.),or rely on this digi to tell me to stop driving.
Will it make a good coffee, and where is the hole to put the hot water in.
Toby Carvery.

I have absolutely no idea, there are machines all around that say download your card here but after that who knows

but the plastic russians must do it somehow seeing as some flipflop wearers don’t take their trucks back to base for months on end

you will notice how much driving you’ve done because it tells you, just go by what it says and the police can’t do you. use a timer and don’t trust the tcaho could lead to discrepancies which the police are not interested in.
the time on the tacho is all they are interested in.
as for adding time on, if you stop and it goes to cross hammers for 1 minute then you move that minute is added to your driving but if you stop and do cross hammers for 2 minutes that is not added to your driving.
mine flashes at 4hrs15mins so i know if i need a break but after the break the driving time returns to zero so make sure you write down how much you have driven each time
RIP anologue tacho,no more frisbies.

TBH toby i prefer the new digi tach its so much easier just put start point in and work away then put end point, no kms, no place of parking dead easy to use
Last time i was in Castets, saw the Gendarmes making a killing on eastern euro lads driving Spanish fridges,on average, they were pulling in one every 20 minutes. Most were done for excess hours on fortnightly driving time.

They must be a bit retarded getting done for that! As when your stationary in a truck with a digi tach, if you go to the menu using the down button, the second screen is a summary screen, tells current driving time since last 45 or culmative break, sum of valid breaks, two week driving total and duration of activity

its nothing to do with being a ■■■■■■, if you were working for some of those fridge boys around murcia and valencia you have a choice; crack on or go home.
seeing as the drivers toby referred to earn a pittance and virtually live in the motors they don’t have much choice, there doesn’t seem to be any work for them in bulgaria or romania
