Can anyone tell me what the situation is regards replacing/renewing a digi tacho card. What I’m after is, is it sent to the driver’s home address or does it have to be collected from a vosa branch or some other institution?

They send a renewal letter to your home address roughly 3 months prior to it expiring. 3 minute phone call to dvla and your replacement card arrives in your letterbox 2 days later for you to keep safe till your current one expires. Very efficient service.

I know that last time I had to go pick it up so this is good news.
Not any more. Ring the number on your renewal letter. Takes couple of days for DVLA to send it out.
I rang them on Friday, received my new card on Tuesday.
Don’t use it until your present card expires
