I thought that the missus had done me a favour when she washed my work trousers with my digicard still inside the pocket 
But no - the ■■■■ thing survived a 40’ wash and full spin and still works perfectly ok!
I bet it didn’t even clean up my infringements

I used mine in Tesco once. The ■■■■■■■ the till said “I think it’s rejecting your card” I explained I’d had a ‘senior’ moment and got out my correct bank card, and she said “you can phone your bank from here if you need to use the 1st one”
I have heard if you wash it on a fast spin it clears your driving for the day so you have a fresh stint

I’ve known of one digicard that became useless after less than a couple of years. That was when a colleague of mine keep keeping his in his wallet along with about a dozen other debit/credit/membership/loyalty/discount/identity cards. I think digicards get easily corrupted magnetically when stored with too many other cards.
