So I sent away my renewal form for my new card which duly arrived a week later.
The problem is that I still haven’t received my driving licence back, and it has now been almost a fortnight. Has anyone experienced any delays like this??
DVLA were most unhelpful, and lad on the phone reckons I shouldn’t have sent it back with my form, even though it says it in black and white!
Any info muchly appreciated!!
bairdy,it doesnt say you have to send off your licence for a renewal of a digi, i sent my form only off, cos i forgot they had already renewed it, and they duly sent a letter back to tell me that, and enclosed my unused cheque.
The problem is, they are dealt with in 2 separate departments, the clue is in the post code, maybe if you sent it to the digi dept, they forwarded it to the licence dept,. If you are getting no response, try and give them another ring, and failing that, claim for a lost licence, and i believe that its free, but i am sure that theres been a lack of communication between departments. good luck anyway.
