paul@midway:
Watch those speed infringments with the digi tacho .Vosa will ignore some but not all of the offences and if they so wish they can fine you for each individual speed excess . You get one minute to get your speed back down to 90 km/h , after that then you get an infringment .
strange as ive run over 60 on 3 occasions and have had no infringements for speeding, office says you dont get them for speeding , dont know what vosa would say as not been stopped with digi in yet
Connor i think the chip on your shoulder is getting bigger by the minute.
Am i not entitled to an opinion without being branded an idiot.?
Do you want an answer when you can’t even spell my name right when it’s clearly posted?
Robbies Dad:
I have owned and driven several trucks with a retarder and i am quite sure most of the MORE EXPERIENCED drivers would agree with me that they are without doubt an added advantage over just brakes or an exhaust brake.
Personally i reckon you talking out of your bottom…AGAIN
Yes they’re an added advantage but how does this alter the fact that on their own, most are incapable of holding the speed down Windy Hill?
which is how i oversped 3 times, assumed it would hold me back but full it will push you over 60 , i assumed it would hold you back but by the time i realised it wouldnt it was too late, already had overspeed up .
All of this seems pedantic in light of the fact that from 2008 when all but the oldest vehicles will need speed limiters, the government will considering reducing the speed limit to 56 mph anyway so older vehicles not requiring fitment will not have an advantage.
