Just ordered a new digi card over the phone, I was amazed at how easy it was I don’t think the whole telephone call lasted more than two minutes. Didn’t think I would ever accuse the DVLA of being efficient, but they were

Yip. Same as you. Renewed mine last Saturday morning. Phonecall was about 2 mins long and new card was on the door mat on the Wednesday morning. Good service. But I reckon people who are waiting for their licences back after bans, medical issues etc wish they were as efficient that.
DVLA is good. Sad that they closed some Branches
