digi-card renewal

Do i need to send my licence off to renew my digicard? its a uk licence.
The renewal form states EC/EEA licence holders -you must send your driving licence with this application,
sction 2 is for new address details- no change so leave blank
section 3, your checklist the fee of £19,
your current gb driving licence-if youve filled in section 2,
Your Ec/EEA driving licence if this applies.,
I have signed the form.

from reading it again and again i would think not■■?

No need to send your licence off for a renewal mate.

Thanks for that. was going to aask dvla to translate into english

Sent mine off a couple of weeks back and must admit I had to read it 3 times,I’m sure they confuse us on purpose.

You must have a different renewal form to the one I have in my hand as the one I have is pretty clear. :stuck_out_tongue:

It states that EC/EEA licence holders must send their licence with the form, it says so in section 1. If you have a UK licence you obviously don’t have a EC/EEA licence so that doesn’t apply

For GB licence holders it clearly says you only do so if your address is different from that on the form or if you have changed you name, in other words filled in section 2.

But is the uk not part of the EC■■?

It is but as far as this form goes GB licence holders are different to holders of licences from elsewhere in the EC and EEA, section 2 shows that when they have different instructions for GB and EC/EEA licences.
