DIGI Card help needed - Very worried guys

tachograph:

ryan worsley:
As im finishing my shift tonight about 5pm, i pressed the eject button on my digi card and it started counting down as usual, but ive then forgot to press end country and let itnthrow it out.

I usually keep it in my wagon but as im on a different wagon tomorrow, minds gone completley off track, ive had such a crap day that i actually need one.

Im due to start at 0400am tomorrow and there is no way i can get the keys as theyre in the building, and theres no possible way i can gain access.

As i have a case for a lost digi card, can i do a printout at the start of my shift tomorrow and record all activity as normal, would this be permissable? If i write my driving licence number on tje back and sign it and do a printout at end of shift… theybsay you have 15 days. I will have it tomorrkw evening. There is no one in to cover my shift either.

Would vosa accept this as a genuine mistake if quizzed and would i be okay? I worry alot.

Do a vehicle printout at the start of the shift and another vehicle printout at the end of the shift, write on the printouts your driver licence number or name, any manual entries required and sign them.

Keep the printouts with you for at-least 28 days then hand them into the transport office.

VOSA won’t be bothered about you forgetting the card as long as you don’t make a habit of it, it’s a genuine mistake, these things happen so relax and enjoy what’s left of the evening

I disagree in part with your final comments im afraid as I had a driver who left his tachocards in his truck and took the spare vehicle, he got stopped at Sheffield and I had 2hr to get his cards to them or they were gonna park him up for 11hr
