Do any trampers leave their digi card in all week and just take it out when the go home (can you do this is it legal?)
From reading other posts on this - yes it is legal.
I seem to remember a reminder to do the usual start and end of shift inputs though.
I would always leave my digicard in from Sunday night through to Friday when I finished.
Tiger.
If you take it out, it reminds you to enter the start location and to enter the correct mode
Yes it is legal & I leave my card in from time to time however the card will take a little longer to download as that ‘break’ is going on your card.
Was that my first post? Hi guys.

Yes it’s legal, an O/D, or driver, who was the only person to ever drive the vehicle could technically leave it in for 28 days at a time, only removing it for the legally required downloading. The only thing to remember is to enter the start and finish locations at the beginning and end of each shift.
We have been instructed by Downton’s to remove our cards at the end of each shift, regardless whether you are home or not…
When i am back at work next week i’ll get the Memo and quote it…

That sounds like a company policy for whatever reason (which they are entitled to do) and not law.
