They do love to dramatise things don’t they?
The skid steer with a puncture. “If we don’t get another machine, we will lose the job” No you wont, the trucks will wait while the tyre is mended or you get a replacement machine
The 747 being cut up, “the lorries are coming to take the scrap away,” what in 8 wheel muckaway tippers?
6 months to get a CPCS machine card seems excessive.

cpcs card come in two forms first you have a red card, trained operater, then to progress to a blue card competent operator (nqv 2 I think) either aprox 6 months on site with vists from assessor, or re due the test again with a slightly different spec on the dig and Q&A to prove you can do the job! You have a log book to record hours worked on machines so when cards run out in 5 years you can show you`ve done enough hour to re new your card, or re do test again!
All most makes DCPC seam easy option

I just looked at the question paper, it is quite involved, and seems like a pass / fail, maybe JAUPT should have based their DCPC on that
You do the questions one to one with the tester, and its all recorded, so no cheating!
