Different licence date

I noticed (a while ago) that the date off issue for my C + E (class 1) is diferent to the date that I know I passed my test, that being October 1989, as opposed to the 1st April 1991 which is on My Licence. The dates for my car licence are correct. Has this happened to anyone else. It dont really matter just currious :wink:

I think you will have a “<” symbol before the From date of 01/04/1991indicating you passed your Class One test before the driving licence Categories were altered to C+E in April 1991. Everyone who upgrades to a photo-card licence will have the same From date if they passed their Class One before 01/04/1991.

I think that’s correct - can anyone confirm■■?

I think you’re right ^^^ that’s what I have on mine.

Lots of changes happened in 1991 including the change from HGV to LGV

Mines the same, passed June 1988 and to add, my car licence is valid from April 1988, although I passed that 3 or 4 years before that!

On mine the car licence date is correct (1984), it was just the HGV/C+E entitlement.

I thought it might be something to do with that, I had a seperate HGV paper licence, that I seem to remember having to send off about that time. :wink:
