Different kind of bridge strike

dozy:
I wouldn’t of hung around ,I’d of just rang it into incident support and got on with my delivery ,that what there for ,too sort these kind of incidents ,then filled the revelant paper work out why I got back too the yard .
It’s a very simple system ,the numbers on the cab phone ,saves all this hanging around when you’ve had a bang ,obviously he’s not taken on board what’s been said on reporting accidents, communication breakdown I guess

Not ‘‘hanging around’’ after knocking half a bridge onto the rail line would more than likely result in A, umpteen charges of the old bill and B, a very unpleasant and short one way conversation with the TC followed by the removal of the vocation licence.

If some poor blighter happened to end up falling onto the line and the person responsible had cleared off, just ringing the no-help line to handle it, then a charge of manslaughter would be the very least result.

Not even mentioning the umpteen deaths and injury’s that may have resulted had the train actually rolled as it states it had derailed… ffs Dozy are you for real :unamused:

Bloody Nora, i didn’t realise the bloody train had hit the debris… :open_mouth: …Dozy you really think your gaffer, let alone the old bill, train company, and as Nick points out the hundreds of poor buggers on the train are going to be patting you on the back cos you managed to deliver those bog rolls saving the company 47p when you’ve just cost them £hundreds of thousands and only by a stroke of good luck not killed and maimed dozens.

Andy Mellors, deputy managing director of First Great Western, said: “The train ran into the debris and caused some damaged to the underneath of the train including the braking system and that meant the train had to have some attention on site before we could get it to move forward.”

Road carnage is getting past the stage of being remotely amusing and fast heading to the point of a national issue (carries on like this it will be a crisis), just who the hell lets these clowns loose on public roads, high time those in charge took some responsibilty for allowing things to get to the stage we are now at.

Another gem insight into Dozy world. Next week, green clouds, blue soil and talking unicorns.

I’m scared by humanity sometimes.
