totally agree that ■■■■■■ do get the blame for 100% of diesel/metal theft ect, going back to security again we did many sites that gypsies had moved onto or near to, and yes they caused problems, but have witnessed several times when they have moved on, other so called decent people as well as reputable buisnesses dumping their rubbish on these sites and then blaming the gypsies…
my truck had its tank emptied 2 weekends ago and imo it wasnt ■■■■■■, several other trucks in the yard untouched, very amateur way in they way the fuel was taken, pipes cut in a place that fuel wouldnt drain from tank, sevaral othher things in yard worth alot more, untraceable and easier to take were left untouched, seemed more like kids maybe selling off to next to nothing…

■■■■■■ won’t leave a mess and they make sure every drop is taken. Now days it is the Eastern Europeans that are stealing the diesel and they leave a mess behind.
I’ve thought before about wiring up a PIR detector to the back of the cab, connected to an audible alarm and/or flashing lights, of course you couldn’t utilise it every time you park but these thefts always seem to happen in places where people have no reason to be alongside your truck at 2 a.m.

Audible alarm?? Wht not one of those trip wire things that take a ‘blank’ 12 gauge shotgun cartridge!
Saw them on the net ages ago, people/farmers used them on thier sheds etc so it could be heard over anything when it went off.

If he can’t hear a pallet truck being pulled across the tarmac surface then there’s something seriously [zb] wrong with his lugholes . Sounds like a BS tale to me.
The driver was probably gassed first Rob. I had 400 litres nicked at the old Punch Bowl one night and I am a light sleeper, the only evidence was some flattened grass so I imagine someone had a pipe and a decent pump.
