Haven’t heard much about it lately, has it calmed down or have we got so used to it that it is not discussed anymore? ?
Still happens just doesn’t get mentioned as much now

Obviously operators have gotten better at defending their vehicles against it and with the fuel price as low as it is, (did I really say that??) it may not be as common a problem. After all, why go for the diesel when you need to cut your way into the tank if you can take a stanley knife to the curtains and get money that way.

That’s what I thought.
Apparently if you take 10 litres a time the Isotrack won’t detect it. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
As mentioned above, responsible operators are taking precautions and protecting their fuel tanks and drivers
If the tank alarm doesn’t put them off, the panic button in the cab certainly does the trick
Since we had the tank alarms fitted, there has been one attempted theft, and they were sent packing and are still probably suffering with dodgy hearing

Do drivers still do this, wouldn’t have thought it worthwhile?

I personally wouldn’t know but so I’m told. Apparently it’s taken to supplement the poor pay as ‘bonus’.
Honestly !
