So, I put an IBC into the back of our Sprinter and chuck 1,000l’s into it & what would you know, about 60-70l’s lower than the 1,000 mark!!! I’ve been to three different pumps in one station in Liverpool & two in another & guess what? Yes, all about the same!!! I could understand it if the difference between all the pumps varied, but it’s alwys 60-70l’s THEIR WAY!!!

Had it crossed your mind that perhaps the pumps are all accurate and that the markings on your IBCs might be a bit out? After all the IBC markings are only intended as a rough guide and not to be completely accurate.

fly sheet:
Fuelcard Company tried Me on the “We’ve got to charge you now for a paper invoice” only wanted £3.85 per sheet, I told em to poke there cards where the suns not so warm, creeping mealy mouthed letter telling Me they’ll make an exception in my case & I can have a paper invoice for free, sons of dogs all of them are…

I had the same rung up told them my views on this and under usage fee, asked for acc manage to ring me guy on phone said “he was kind of my account manager” no offer of free invoice told me it was to help save the enviroment etc etc as the letter said, told them to close accounts for both cards, he replyed you cant close it over the phone need to do it by letter (remember saving enviroment!),
cancelled the direct debit, job done, no letter.

Not for a second, when we filled IBC’s with bio (before we had our pump in the yard calibrated) 1,000L used to show above the line on an IBC, since the calibration it’s about 1mm ubder the line, where with a fill up at the petrol station it’s over 2" down.

Ross.

PS, we always use the same IBC to collect diesel.
