WE have now gone from a compaint to an english lesson LOL
Not āGrassingā on people is behaviour learnt from the playground in school. Iād like to think weāve all moved on since then.
Yes, you did the right thing.
Anyone who reports bad driving is doing the right thing, even if it means the bad driver loses his/her job. when its your kids who have been ploughed into by an idiot"driver"Its then to late to say " I should have repoted that."
We are all guilty at some point of lack of concentration ,but momentary lapses and purposeful bad driving are two different things.
You did the right thing because you never know what damage the water could do to a person/car. It may cause them to have a heart attack due to shock, you never know

Bang on!!
Canāt be arsed to check, but Iām sure in the highway code it says something about slowing down for floods/large puddles, and i believe it is an offence to drive through water causing inconvienience and danger to pedestrians and other road users.
I had an issue with some prat in a 4x4 some years ago, the road was flooded and everyone was taking it in turns to drive through, one from each direction. when it was my turn, some idiot in a BMW x5 came from the other direction at full speed, and drowned me, totally lost all vision etc, luckily i was able to keep the engine running and got through, but if I could have turned around quick enough i would have cuaght the b* up and put him and his BMW in the nearest ditch, see how he likes it! And yes, my car would have caught an X5 easily!

Sorry Jon, I cant agree with you.Chasing him and putting him in a ditch would make you as bad as him, you just have to treat them with the contempt they deserve, and relish in the knowledge that you are a pro.
That one ā ā ā ā in the 8legger just tars all us sensible tipper drivers with the same brush. I came to a flooded section of the A417 near to Faringdon yesterday-I gave way to the 3 cars coming toward me although I was at the flood first so any wash from me passing through wouldnāt go into the radiator of the cars. Each driver thanked me for giving way so for every ā ā ā ā ā ā there is someone with common senseā¦

Edit- Gawd Iāve got to the top of page 2 with that nonsense
My favourite flooding story is one of my mates, he was trying to get into Tewkesbury when it was all flooded a few years back and he rang the office saying that he thought he might struggle, and the clerk asked him if it was due to the rain to which he replied, āwell put it this way Iām driving down the road and someone has just gone passed me in a boatā
