Diary 4 move to and from france lots of pics

This is a move from this week a part load out and a full load back.

Booked out on the Poole Cherbourg 23.45 sailing on Tuesday on the Barfleur arrived in plenty of time to get the 11 hr break in.

Had the usual crap hand signals from the Brittany loaders which i completely
ignored as usual, honestly where do they get them from, total muppets,i
thought he was gonna have a turn when i had a shunt to get the arse end
round.

Arrived in Cherbourg and joined the queue to go through the customs post
with the most miserable â– â– â– â– â– â– â–  going checking the passports,no hello
kiss my arse just a total blank expression.I dont think he was happy in his job.

Trundled out on the ring road that takes you to the bottom of Cherbourg hill,
looked like it was going to be a nice day.

Cracked on to Sainteny to unload a part load have now been here four times,
good customer.

Only took about an hour to unload so cracked on towards Rennes and
then had a 45 break.
Headed on towards Nantes and over the bridge.

Headed on down the A83 motorway and come off at J6 for Chantonnay
skirted round and headed out on the D949 for Bazoges en Pareds where
are back load was waiting.
Driving into the village.

Back down the lane and start loading.

Very nice property,we had actually moved this bloke down here in 2003 just
around the corner he then bought this old barn that was derelict and made
it into this.

The village was very old and heres some pics including a very impressive
fort which is now a museum.

Had 90% loaded by about 6pm so called it a day and an english couple
that were friends said they would put us up for the night .
Went back to theres and had a shower then out to the local bar for beer and
food.
Thursday arrived back and finished loading.

Left about 8am and went back towards Chantonnay ,weather was cloudy
with rain.

At Chantonnay i decided to go back along the National road for a change
and headed for Nantes up the D137.

Back across the bridge at Nantes where they were loading a boat with grain
looking at the dust.

Cracked on past Rennes and made it to Mont St Michel services for a break.

Cracked on after an hour and turned off at Avranches and came up the
Cherbourg pininsular via Granville,Coutances.

Straight roads.

Saw some old soldiers on the way out no doubt going to some war memorial
service and over took this old willys jeep.

Going up the hill out of Coutances then turning right at the top where the
traffic lights are.

Coming down Cherbourg hill and into docks, weathers cloudy then sunny.

Grabbed me tickets and through those automatic gates and stopped by
customs as usual, they were gonna look in the back then changed there
minds and let me carry on.
Saw this nice scania at Cherbourg plain but smart.

Need a â– â– â– â– â– â– â–  big foot pump to sort that out :exclamation: :unamused:

Loaded onto Barfleur at 1900 hrs arriving at Poole at 22.15 english time.

Delivered load at Fareham on Saturday.

Hope you enjoyed.
