Diamond H Transport / Stobarts

Diamond H transport based in Haydock has now been bought out by Stobarts/WS
and moving from Haydock to Stobarts yard in Runcorn.
Diamond has a nice fleet of crane vehicles with a very similar paintwork to Stobarts
and a lot of their work is in the construction industry and wind turbines.

This is just getting a bit stupid now , I got back yesterday and there’s now Morrison d/d in the yard , that’s on top of tesco , sainsburys trunking , explore , ws loads , general , aig , mib etc etc , , it’s like lets do everything but no plan how to do it :unamused:

Dozy I hope I am correct in assuming that you can only pull one trailer at a time? Well worry about the one behind you and not the ones in the yard. If they try to make you max out your hours to get more work done then so be it, take your foot off the gas and accept the extra overtime at this time of the year but make sure that you do no extra work.
The planners know who they can push to get more work done and by standing your ground they will leave you alone, it’s a different story if they play the game but the amount of times you have wanted an early finish and it’s been denied its pay back time.

I’m not on about me , I’m on about 600 drivers short one week then every time you turn round there taking on more work , bloody stupid , get the work you’ve got sorted and running effiently then take on more work , actually I’m wasted as a driver :exclamation:

For your information Diamond H was owned by the Scottish truck dealer MV Commercial this company specialises in the manufacture of crane mounted vehicles, any of you Commercial Motor readers will have seen there four pages of advertising every week.

Where you can see 600 standing truck???Where you can see 600 for 26 pallets =13800 pallets not delivered for customer.■■?Simply if they found 600 full time drivers that 598 agency drivers will away at home. But agency drivers not apply for full time because they get several money.

Well there new at our yard and I’ve never seen them out and about , but add on tesco , sainsburys , Argos , explore , general , aig etc , etc and like tesco reading , the load a day late I think there biting off more than they can chew , it’s now at a stage of expecting you to be at 2 places at the same time :unamused: , to have 10 trucks in a row at rugby t/stop all waiting for a empty tri to come in is just ridiculous , as for they don’t need 600 drivers , well that’s what there saying , why is there adverts all over the place :exclamation: :exclamation: and to be honest if we’ve now got to a level where if you ask a agency driver to go and collect a load empty and he goes Bob tail then it’s time they all did go home :exclamation:

But you said recently they’d lost the britvic contract because amongst other things , late delivery , so they’ve got some of it back , wouldn’t it make more sense to concentrate all your resources on making a good job of it , get it right , deliveries , rather than take on everything and anything and make a pigs ear of the lot :exclamation:

Britwick gone from April 1017.I happy if Stobart Winn any new contract. But Britvic was some 100-200 load per day.But I don t think who Morrison double decker number will be more that 10-20 anyway. To win any big contract must takes long time.Plus Stobart not running so much warehouse job.

Well I got told they’ve got more coca- cola back , britvic , possibly a walkers contract , fridges on moy park , and this is my point , they haven’t got enough drivers to do the existing work and yet they take on more , and didn’t they say we’re binning fridges as it doesn’t pay!!!( though they did keep on a few as a token gesture )

Stobartski eat all good with grammaphone but under level.
