For me its the same as Christmas Day.My wife is Canarian (Spanish) its great think about it we have 3 weeks pi$$ up here in Spain compared to 2 weeks in the UK 
and well… you know the feeling back in blighty after New years eve there [zb] to look forward too but here we get dia de reyes

and where im from in Tenerife were still up in the mid 20s so beach weather too (sorry Mainlanders wbis,vasco (chilly up there mate!)( ). Joking apart this is the only place i know where you can play in the snow on el Tiede and sunbath the same day on the coast

Christmas day and New years day and no fiestas for me because they land on a Sunday but I will be getting The Kings because its on a Friday followed by 8 working days ( winter hols). Feliz Reyes !

and I can see in the distance the snow on the sierra nevada so a trip up there will be on the cards

its a good thing moving bank holidays to mondays, those stupid puente days are TBH a complete PITA, especially around Madrid.
as for stupid local saints days he can say what he likes but seeing as Andalucia is an autonomo and my contract says 22 days hols plus 18 festivos I’m quite happy
he can’t be any worse than that last socialist mr bean can he?

There has been snow on top of the Sierra nevada for weeks as there is every winter, dont worry though unless the weather turns really bad then the roads will remain clear and open. Unlike the UK!

make my job a lot easier to be honest and it will be easier to get the drivers home for the bank holidays as well

Do all the big motor manufacturers still do all their secret testing on the road to Sierra Nevada,i have seem top of the range sports cars,all wrapped up,with wires and computers all over the interior,the same for tractor units and trailers,going up and down that road.
