I think it varies between Division to division. My experience of Parcels (i work for them) is everything is ‘manyana’ [sp]
Take out work today, if you dont get it done, just bring it back and you can do it tomorrow. It’s so layed back it’s unreal.
As i said above though, there are so many different divisions though, from the various firms they’ve bought out, it’s different in each division. Even parcels is split in two ‘international’ (old DHL) and ‘Domestic’ (Old Securicor Omega)

It was a 55 plate MAN LE18. (Im sure thats what it said on the side)
Quite a nice motor, seats were a bit hard though.
Don’t worry about the vehicle’s,they are changing the fleet’s around in May.We are get merc actros at our depot, this include’s the rigid’s.Also for your info dennisw1 don’t buy the new digital smart card as the company will be buying them for you.
“oh bugger we had a memo about sorting out those new tacho card things months ago, we forgot about that”
As i said laid back!
If you want a laid back cushy job with reasonable motors then Parcels is the way to go. Ok wages arent the highest, but when you could spend half a night shift sleeping…
