Seen a Yellow DHL fuel tanker yesterday near kingsbury fuel terminal,

Whats that all about then?

Is this a new venture or something?

I’ve just started noticing them too. Saw one being pulled by an Asda unit today on the M25 and I saw one at Morrisons? in Coventry last week.

dhl has bought exel/tankfreight which in turn do fuel dels for various companies as in morrisons etc

Just part of the exel DHL merger.
We also have a specialist chemical division too, who run tankers.

They were running out of Lambsons under DHL colours 10 years ago

which ‘is’ odd as 10 years ago DHL where only an international courier firm with a bit of air freight.

Wouldnt have been yellow then, thank god.

I seem to think it was the first aqquisition of Securicor Omega ex Russel Davies tank division

DP took a first 50% share of Omega in 1998, then they bought the remaining 50% in about 2003 at which point they began rebranding everything in the ‘new DHL’ colours.
Deutsches post didnt aquire DHL until 2002.

I doubt it was 10 years ago. :wink:
