DHL Diageo Coventry - Info please

Afternoon all,

Off for a Class 1 driving assessment at DHL Diageo in Coventry next week. Anyone able to shed some light on the type of work, pay etc that they do from there?

Thanks in advance and all that.

DHL are generally a good outfit to work for but I don’t know
about the actual Diageo contract.

There are lots of rules and regulations to stick to, but you know that
when you start. There’s one or two knobheads around, but you can
live with that.

Once you get in with DHL, you can always transfer elsewhere with them, even abroad.

We were on a 48 hour guaranteed week with decent money.
30 days holiday - paid at that same 48 hour rate too.

Sad that the contract ended - they offered us other work but it was too
far to travel, otherwise I’d still work for DHL. We took redundancy pay.

Incidentally, they advertised a Class One job in Coventry just yesterday
under reference 36487. Reporting to Adrian Bridges and initial contact
Ben Bolton. It doesn’t say if it’s Diageo, I wonder if it’s the same job ?

One tip for the assessment :

IF YOU GET OUT OF THE CAB,

THE KEYS COME OUT OF THE CAB. (Especially with high value Diageo gear)

Thanks for the reply.

I looked at that one, different contact names and reference from the one I applied for.

And lock your doors! :sunglasses:

Loaded out of there. It’s all alcohol loads so high security

And be really obvious about checking the height. They like that, they like it to the point they won’t let you use a sat nav in case you drive into an 8’ bridge  (Because we all know it was the Satnavs fault :unamused: )
