I’m sat outside this place waiting to go into the pallet pick up bit where all the trampers sleep on the yellow lines. Yes it’s a massive pain to get through them all and I’m not helping being parked where I am (can’t really park anywhere else). But come on, some of the lorry drivers have just made them selves look a right fool! Jumping the queue, completely blocking the road, swinging on your horns for 30 seconds at a time. Absolute chaos today!! What’s going on!
Our depot is a bit further down from there (Lakeside, yeah?) and it was like that most nights…plod weren’t bothered though. Left at the roundabout and occasionally, the end of the queue was just there! In the end, I started going in the other way and missing it all. Quite often you’d get the Great Bear drivers moaning and 9 times outta 10, it was their lot who where on the yellows having their break…■■■■■ ? Always accessible when the mobile fuel thieving, gardening scrap metal lot where there as well though. Trucks parked up from top to bottom of the road, opposite the gate, trucks waiting to get in and those waiting to get out couldn’t because of said trucks parked up…total bloody chaos, even at 2 or 3am some nights…glad I only go to Chepstow now!! Do they still operate on the 1 in/ 1 out principle?
Hickling Road Cannock? aka the on road lorry park. Great Bear, Stobarts etc. they’re all there…
Yeah, I’m great bear, agency driver atm. I’ve been to some messes in the past but that place is a shambles!
I’ve been up to the uni lever site for a load of empty pallets a few times over the past month.
It’s a bit of a joke double yellows all outside the yard with no where to wait inside and trucks parked every where on there daily rests.
Don’t know why they don’t put empty car parks on these big industrial areas for parking.
First time I went up there I drove to dhl site as I got told to go to dhl.
Ended up have to reverse half a mile back up the road as 4 trucks came at once the opposite way.
