The van is fine.Unlike the cyclist who damaged the bridge with his head.
That’s nothing, I could land a fully freighted Boeing 747 through that gap.
Would that be with landing gear up or down. The tail will be close assuming the latter.
I would invert the aircraft in the same manner as Denzel Washington in Flight.
Landing gear stored away.
Why is the police officer holding up the bridge with his head?
That would cause compression of the neck vertebrae and spinal discs.
Could get interesting when you meet the DHL van and the cyclists approaching the bridge from the opposite direction when you’re on finals while inverted.
My bet is on the cyclist.
I tend to initialise my VFR approach to about 3298 metres AGL, to intercept the ILS.
In the now closed down Hong Kong airport we used to fly so low over the flats that we could see all the laundry on the line then a steep bank to the left for the approach.
If you lived there you could touch the landing gear flying over the roof.
If the passengers really annoyed me I would always invert the aircraft.
I still think that trying to land a 747 under that bridge inverted would scare the pilot as much as the passengers. With or without the van and the cyclist being involved.
It should be ok as long as the seat belt is fitted.
