DHL Arcadia contract

Hi,
Has anyone got the in’s and out’s on this job.

Cheers

Do you mean at Monkspath Solihull,wagon/dragon trunking ok but id stay away from fhe rigid shop deliveries handball(hanging garments) which is what i did for a few weeks on agency.Mind you Tibbett and Britten ran that a few years ago

still effectivly T&B as they were bought by Exel years ago

Same job just different location (north east) I have the chance of the trunking job or slightly higher paid shop deliverys. And yes it’s wagon/dragon.

What location then?

If it’s working out of the Spectrum depot on Torre Road in Leeds then I’ve done loads of work in there via the agency. I really enjoyed it but I doubt it’s everyone’s cup of tea.

Go for it - good bunch to work for.

I worked for them at Milton Keynes thru ANC Resource Solutions for a year doing shop delivery at night into central London, Thurrock & Bluewater, Portsmouth etc, Nottingham etc, Kingston Richmond and Oxford/Reading.

Been into their shop at Oxford Circus with very small loads in 7.5 tonners and rigid wagons and that was money for old rope. Gold stores must get their delivery.

Hard graft sometimes but great when the security guys have a sense of humour.

The Arcadia escorts from Radlett were less appealing to work with (smoking in the cab and ‘you couldn’t do this run without us’).

Did a couple of runs for Burtons out of Torre Road in Leeds - same story a decent lot to work for.

Wagon and drag is less physical work but still a demanding role ! But I only say this as an onlooker having only Cat C to my name.
