Anybody been on any of the boats out of tilbury to sweden?how longs the crossing?are the boats ok or old tubs?
Sailed outa Tilbury on the DFDS to Gothenburg a few years ago! Nice & clean inside, the cabins were fine, on your own aswell, the food was good-a fair selection at lunch & evening time & snacks left out like bread, cheeses & ham etc
cans of beer avaliable too & all this is free.
Sailing back from Gothenburg to Tilbury on a different DFDS boat it was totally different even though the cabins were
good the food was not up to much at all & only one can of beer for dinner. There was a dvd tele in the drivers room but no dvd’s to watch.
On any long crossing like these it is always advisable to take your own snacks on board & a few tinnies!!!
Can’t remember the crossing time though but it left late at night-10pm
Great view if ya like tilts! This was 2 years ago & ferries & crew change quickly so it could now be very different!
Cheers Jacko 22,i think its a 38 hr crossing, ive done immingham to Gothenburg twice, one trip was good and caught the same boat back,2nd time a different boat, and the food wasnt to good.
