Derv price down

Good news for those of you that pay the fuel bill but I wondered does anyone know why it’s come down.
It can’t be the price of crude oil as petrol hasn’t come down and in my local garage it’s dearer than derv.
Hopefully someone has a sensible answer before Carryfast turns up no doubt blaming the Chinese and Harold Wilson.

I heard that it is because Saudi Arabia has started exporting pre-refined diesel fuel whereas it has previously only exported crude oil for onward refinement and this is what is bringing the price down. I do not know whether this is true or not.

Wholesale price is down; crude is down; strong pound = we can buy more of it, and it’s falling already.

Although, the fall is 6 weeks behind…all this happened back in Jun.

That would make sense harry.
Surely if crude had droped again and the exchange rate was causing it petrol would still be 5 or 6 pence a litre cheaper like it has been for a few years
