This is a couple of pages from the DS in house magazine from 1968 featuring the large quarry situated between Middleton and Wirksworth.Later taken over by Tarmac and closed in 1993. ( :cry: )

what was the mine called that used to have to drive right into to load up they used to give you a little case to take with in case of problems down there
