TRAILERS1:
does it not say on top of this page UK PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS?
it also says round table,
they ordered a square one but they sent this one instead. i could take it back but then you would need to re-book the delivery and that might take longer than you would think as it’s coming up to Christmas and it always gets busy at this time of year.
Harry Monk:
Everyone has done this, I once went to the delivery address on my CMR to deliver 26 pallets of Spanish wine, and it was a bungalow in a cul-de-sac. The importer’s home address.[/quote)
Not everyone the only time i have turned up at the wrong place is when i have been given the wrong info by the clever people in the office that never make mistakes
I tried to deliver to an office in Brest once, it was a 400kg lump of engine for a ship in the docks, the company owned the boat but I didn’t read the “ship to” bit very much!

I did not believe the planner when he gave me the collection address
“The Dummy Book Company, 1 The Cowshed …”
I wouldn`t even collect the container till i checked the place existed
Many moons ago, when working for a subbie out of Cooper’s Filters in Abergavenny, loaded and nearly pooped my pants when I looked at the address. “The Kowloon Motor Bus Company, Hong Kong” instead of the fowarder in London.
Pretty common problem with Palletforce too. If you don’t know for sure then you have to attempt the delivery so that they will get paid. Sometimes an address that looks dead iffy turns out to be right. I once took a load of rebar to a council house in Solihul. The guy found a couple of mates and we handballed the lot on to his front garden.
