How does it stop a crow bar jemmying the door open?
In 25 years as a long distance driver, here and abroad, nobody has ever tried to get in my cab…nor do I know anyone who has experienced it. In my opinion, these things are a massive over-reaction and a waste of money. But, That’s just me…
Thank you for the replies but I do know of a few people with experiences of cabs being broken into and cheers for the feedback!
You need to be targeting this at truck owners, not truck drivers. If I wanted one of these, I would need the boss’s permission to start drilling holes in his truck…especially holes that might weaken the structural integrity of the door.
Most lads that are worried about break-ins just use ratchet straps through the door handles.
If someone is determined to get in, then they will.
If locks like this were in demand, they’d either be standard kit or on the options list by now.
If the door is opened by a crowbar this will prevent it opening further so they won’t gain entry inside !! also the downside to straps are they can be slashed ! Also they can be released easier than the ratchets in an emergency

this is my first post so I’ve not explored the whole site so I don’t know where to post !! thank you for the feedback
Obvious advertisement is obvious.
Also, I think they’re a crap idea. My reasons are threefold.
-
They can only be used whilst you’re actually inside the cab. Now I don’t know about you, but I consider myself enough of a deterrent to any would be thieves and scoundrels. Are you frightened of being raped?
-
They don’t look very strong. If someone wants to get into your cab (to ■■■■ you) and they’ve got past the door locks, they aren’t going to struggle with these bits of plastic
-
Most employers don’t want you drilling holes here there and everywhere in their vehicles. Might be okay for the owner driver afraid of being ■■■■■■■■ violated on his own bunk, but for most of us, they’ll be out of the question.
For those reasons, I won’t be investing. I’m out.
Unless the truck has bulletproof glass, there is a driver inside that’s sole purpose is to make a living. A brick through the window, to someone who knows that the keys to the locks are somewhere inside the cab will still get access.
Perhaps these could be fitted to fuel tanks. No way could the diesel be stolen if that really sturdy arm was over the fuel cap.
Does nothing to protect the window though.
I could fit a dog clip and chain for less.
If they want in they will be in the window
and sitting on your chest before you know it.
Work on that and sell it alongside your lock.
PS. I once had some door protectors bright yellow
about the same size as a wheel clamp and twice as
heavy, bloody awful things,I gave em back to the boss.
So make it light and small please.

I’m not convinced. You joined on Tuesday and all your posts so far are in relation to these useless bits of plastic. I can smell a lie like a ■■■■ in a lift.
How about a tried and tested security device, No drilling, no losing keys, no handle to rip into your soft fleshy muffin top…

sorry but maybe some people like products by certain brands as many people do. My dad of 75 years who likes what he gets with security products has got milenco products well over 15 years old and are still going strong ! So sorry for having faith in a brand !!

Right!
So you joined 2 days ago and all your posts are about this product that you “found”. Yes, I can see that you’re not advertising and it’s just a mere coincidence.
And you should either find something else to talk about, or just fade away.
