Just had a look at the members list and it says trucknet has 67,307 members and it goes back a long way, got me wondering how many of those members are not with us anymore?,also I wonder how many members are still active on here,no reason just bored on a Sunday morning, thanks.
Well I’m still active on here so that’s 1 .
I think you’ll struggle to get a roll call for even half of those
I’ve often wondered when we read “Another one gone” threads on here, “Was that driver one of us on this board?” We often say “RIP Driver” but who says “I knew him, Horatio”.?
You get precious few announcements that “Driver so-and-so of Blogg’s Haulage was killed last month”. type posts.
Perhaps it’s because the last thing the family want to think of in their most difficult time - is sticking a “inform the deceased’s online mates” as part of the solicitor’s “disbursements” that form part of the aftermath of a death, especially the death of someone whilst at work.

I can’t imagine my Mrs coming on here to tell anyone. I don’t have Facebook either so there wont be any tributes posted amongst pictures of pets, what people had for breakfast and how sad they feel.

Now I’m no Margrie Proops , but steady on there. There is life after RDC’s Bad week, chill. Don’t let the situation get the better of ya.
Tomorrow’s another day.

Not always when you get the wrong side of father time . we’ve lost a few on the old timers this year
Well with the wait we have at some RDC’s, none named of course but Every Little Help’s, they probably died of old age waiting to be tipped.
Yes there’s been a couple over the years that have passed away. That I’ve had the pleasure of knowing
Plenty on here dead from the neck up.
(And I reckon CF has bored a few to death).

Or even ■■■■■■!
I am a subscriber to several BB’s, and I still get “Friends requests” from people I know who have passed away, are they trying to contact me from the other side?
It’s sad to see so many old friends have passed away, even more sad to realise that I must be getting near the top of the list!!!
Would all those who are no longer with us please post and let us know …

Dont worry. When you go, at 10am the following saturday we’ll all tell charity collectors how annoying they are in your honour.

In that kind of a vein. My dad was one of 4 boys, anyway, the youngest Brother(Bernard) passed away first, then My dad passed away, he was number 3 son counting down from the top if you like. This was of some small consolation to Uncle Bob the eldest of the boys, as he pointed out to Uncle Bill (number 2) “well bill your turn next” and that is exactly what happened, sadly now all four have passed away
