Hi. A work colleague has looked up his DSA records online for DCPC and it states next to his hours ‘under investigation’ What does this mean and does it mean his hours may not count?
When did he take his DCPC? If you mean last week then it just means that the trainer’s upload hasn’t been checked off yet, not necessarily that the training company is under investigation.
I don’t know exactly when but more than 2 months ago
Maybe…
Maybe a checker was on the course and it did not do its full hours?
I haven’t ever seen this but on past experience of how the system works it sounds as though there is possibly a problem with the drivers licence.
When this happens the DSA has to consult the DVLA - and that takes ages. May be an expiry date or even issue date. As an example someone who should have done the initial DCPC goes on a periodic course. The system lets the trainer upload the details - then after a few weeks a query is raised. Same can happen for an expired licence (medical etc).
There again - I may be completely wrong and it’s one of these dodgy training companies finally been caught.
It is probably an hours violation. I have heard it is more than one driver affected, (if it is the same incident)
Did he take it in the East Yorkshire / Humberside area?
I have heard a rumour, and I put it no stronger than that, about a training provider in that area who are currently under investigation. I am sure, if true, all will become apparent in the next few weeks.

It is a training company down south somewhere who carries out nationwide training. They send someone up north when there are enough drivers available to take the course… They are definitely not from Humberside or Yorkshire
Don’t worry about it, it comes up with that because there’s a lag between them signing you on the course and actually uploading your hours. I queried the exact same thing with JAUPT, they agree it’s probably not the best message. If the hours aren’t on the system within 7 days then it needs looking into, iirc the training co have to upload within 5 working days.
EDIT: If it’s more than 2 months ago then get in touch with the training provider/employer/JAUPT to see what the problem is.
