Just lately i’ve been doing the odd day here and there for the local council.
driving a bin wagon.
it just keeps a bit of money coming in while the business picks up.
they run a Dcpc course a few days a week, so i cover for the drivers that are on it.
the regular drivers get the course for free, and they get paid for it too.
But as i only do the odd days, kind of like agency work. i’m not entitled to it.
But i get on with them, and they can call on me at short notice. i’m only a 5 minute walk away.
they offered me the chance to do the course for free, but i won’t see any wages. (not that i expected any).
I told them i’d think about it.
would you do it, or just [zb] hgv driving off when it comes in?
if i do it, i not sure i could live with the shame of being defeated by this crap.
if its for free then i guess i would be tempted but like you would feel like the tossers in charge had won! at present i have no dcpc no digi card and it feels great!

Just do it, you may need it one day and it’s costing you nothing.
Do it, it’s the drivers responsibility to ensure they are qualified in time. So it’s you that is meant to fork out for it… Jump on every 7 hour course the offer you, saves you a packet each time.
To me your post is more insulting than any dcpc course or instructor can be. you have work and a chance to get free training when others on here have no work and have to pay for training. but you seem to

the dcpc is insulting to anyone that knows the job.
i am from four generations of hgv drivers and hauliers.
it’s just as well that my grandad died when he did, this crap would have killed him.
and if i do the dcpc, then i might as well ■■■■ on his grave.

Well don’t do it if you feel that way ya wee troll, let someone who wants there cpc take your place, problem sorted
