DCPC first aid course near north lincs

Having endured me first of five days bored out of my scull, I thought it would be a good thing to have one day of the remaining four spent learning a bit of first aid.
It may come in handy one day.
The cost of the first day was £70.00 or £75.00 I can’t remember, anyway I didn’t really mind paying that amount.
But there is a course in hull run by st johns, but the cost is £150.00.
Anyone know of anything going that is cheaper.
Thanks.

A bit off topic but are you a grandad yet?

I’m not in that area but … currently have a 3.5 hour module for first aid and I’m adding a second 3.5 module. The two modules can be delivered on their own with some other subject (so 3.5 hours first aid & 3.5 hour drivers rules etc) or put together to make a full 7 hour DCPC first aid course that also qualifies as Emergency First Aid At Work and gets a HSE approved certificate as well as DCPC

Most drivers find the 3.5 hour module is sufficient for their needs.

All I’m trying to say is - look around for this kind of modular course, might be beneficial.

I can recommend a company in Doncaster ( I used them for 2 different modules) they can do the first aid course for 7 hours and for an extra few quid can certify through the HSE for 3 years. Contact Trev on 07970 258655 and tell him Phil sent you. If I remember rightly it cost £110 all in (subject to change) and they supply a cracking lunch and unlimited tea/coffee.

Ok thanks for the replies.
I shall contact the man in Doncaster.
Anyone from around this area fancy a first aid themed drive cpc course?
Phil, no not yet.
The poor girl is having a long old job, jury got the train to Sheffield yesterday at 0830 and she is still there.
I don’t know how women cope with it all.

Viamaster in Leeds do a first aid course, 7 hours, I did mine with them and actually learnt something.

CLICKY There’s one tomorrow  and on the 15th of August.

Are you aware that if doing 3.5 hour modules;

  • a seven-hour block can be further split into two parts but the second part must start
within 24 hours of completion of the first part.

Currently I use a couple of FA trainers to deliver my modules but I’m in the process of being trained up and certificated to do it myself.

However … I will bear it in mind that you can cover this - you never know what crops up. Where are you based?

Hello mate. I am based in Peterborough but I work all over the U.K

likewise let me know where you are and i will do the same
