I know i am unreasonable
but when you work 60 hours a week
and want a day off in 3 months time
and its refused you know your employer is extracting the urine

I predict Hitch will throw a sickie in 3 months time. Just a shame I can’t predict the lottery numbers too.
Ha, I found myself in a pretty similar scenario many years ago. Beginning of March I went in the office and asked for a week off at the end of June.
Me: Can I book a week off please
Gaffer: WHAT? We’re way too busy, we’ve got 3 for test and we’re behind with 6 weeklys.
Me: I haven’t told you when I want it yet, not for another 3 months.
Gaffer: WHAT? That’s our busiest time, you know we’re busy then, who’s going to cover you?
Me: Actually, now I think about it, I won’t take a week off.
Gaffer: Good, you can’t just come in here demanding time off when we’re busy.
Me: Here’s a weeks notice instead.
Do a little digging on employment law, re holidays. Google is your friend here. They are your holidays to take when you want, regardless of what your tm says. And you only need to give the amount of time required in notice. ie you can book one day off, one day in advance. One week off one week in advance etc
