Day off tomorrow, woohoo

It looks like god has provided me with the perfect excuse for a sickie tomorrow. I don’t make a habit of it, you can count the number of sick days I’ve had off in the last few years I’ve had on the fingers of one hand. But the snow is up to my knees already, so it’s a day in front of the telly tomorrow keeping warm. Mmmm bliss

Nae company loyalty. A company man would be raking about his shed trying to create a set of snow shoes and shovelling his way out to the main road in time for the morning.

The last bit of snow we had, the only person who didn’t make it in was the transport manager who “couldn’t get off his drive”.
I don’t blame him though, If i’d got paid I wouldn’t have come in either.

I’ve shot myself in the foot, normally Monday is my day off, I voluntereed to do a 3 dayer, a few drops finishing at Cornwall, mainly because the wife happens to be also working on her day off, and I thought it would be a few extra quid for Christmas.
Just seen the weather forecast, plus I’m full up with ■■■■ cold.
I really should learn to keep my big gob shut. :unamused:
