To all you day drivers, what is your average working day if for example things go reasonably well with tipping traffic etc, the reason I’m asking is with regular accidents and the road works etc it must be getting more and more common to avoid nights out from time to time. Do you all carry nite out stuff with you in case and how often does this happen?
8 1/2 hrs all in 
10 hours most days. Had my license 6 years, nights out =0.
8-10 hours no nights out day cab
Work days. 3 days one week 4 next. Always carry night out gear in one rucksack. Wash kit, towel. Change of clothes. Mini burner. Mini pan set. Two tins meat. Instant porridge pot. Lightweight sleeping bag strapped to rucksack.
Essential in bad weather especially if not doing local runs. Last week. Two nights out. One due to an accident, One due to delivery ■■■■ up.
Fail to prepare. Prepare to fail. Takes two mins to throw in lorry. Stays in car when home.
12 hours 5 days a week. Sleeper cab with twin bunks. Night heater used to take the chill off in the morning as i get to work.
Home every night .
Keep a night out bag in your car. If you get a risky run then grab it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it
If we run out of time we get put up in a hotel,premier inn ect…I’m too good to sleep in a lorry.
I’ve never done a night out and don’t ever bother taking night out gear with me, happy days 
I will get my night out gear from my locker if it looks like i might have a long day just in case as i’m not keen on getting caught out with no gear on me, if i have a short day or just running around local then said gear stays in said locker.
mon to fri …start when I want as long as job is done so normally go in for 6.30 leave yard at 7 and usually back in yard about 4
done 3 nights out in 4 years …decent money as well for class 2 and a brand new truck no nights or weekends
Anywhere between 8 and 15 hours. Dependant on how many autographs/selfies I have to do.
10-12 hours a day average and only do occasional night out if the job dictates or the job gets winded off ! As I deliver Precast concrete products which have to be craned off but always carry me night out kit Incase of worst case scenario of a night out .
